My first career was practicing law. Then, I followed my mother’s example and started a second career. I returned to graduate school and earned an IT degree. During graduate school, I wrote a case study about electronic voting, which helped me get my first job in state government– Statewide Voter Database Coordinator in the office of the Ohio Secretary of State. I’m still a state employee. Somewhere along the way, I decided it would be a good idea to write fun fiction and create characters who are women working in IT.
